- For almost ten years, the MaddocksBrown Foundation provided major support to SoCal Connected, KCET’s weekly award-winning, prime-time newsmagazine. SoCal Connected has received a Peabody, two DuPont Awards, and countless other Emmys, Golden Mikes, and Los Angeles Press Club Awards. The nonprofit American Cinematheque programs new and classic movies on the big screen at the 1940 Aero Theatre in Santa Monica. A historic single-screen movie theatre, the Aero hosts film presentations and programming, including screenings with prominent in-person guests such as Paul Thomas Anderson, Christopher Nolan, Jerry Lewis, Shirley MacLaine, Greta Gerwig, and Jordan Peele to. The MaddocksBrown Foundation supports the KCET Cinema Series at the Aero, a film series for the Montana Avenue area community of Santa Monica.
