- From October 19, 2018 to January 27, 2019, the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft (KMAC) presented Elsa Hansen Oldham: Muses, a solo presentation featuring some of the artist’s most iconic embroideries, alongside new, rarely seen work. For the exhibition, the MaddocksBrown Foundation lent Hansen’s “Nike and Nike”, a 2015 work of gold, silk, and cotton hand embroidery on flax that juxtaposes Nike, the Greek goddess of victory, against Nike, the modern sportswear brand that takes its name from the goddess.
