Dr. Anne Peters
Dr. Anne Peters, the director at the USC Westside Center for Diabetes, is regarded as a leading expert on diabetes, including its treatment, prevention, and impact on minority groups. The MaddocksBrown Foundation has continued to fund the work of Dr. Peters, contributing to her research on a recurring 5-year basis. One of the premiere diabetes specialists in the world,Dr. Peters treats a variety of patients from all backgrounds at the university hospital, as well as teaches at the Keck School of Medicine at USC. For the past 20 years, Peters has also worked with the LA County Department of Health Services, helping to structure the healthcare system for diabetes, as well as served on the guideline writing committee of the American Diabetes Association, which allows her to incorporate her research and change national policy.
