Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association

For more than fifty years, the private, non-profit Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association (GLAZA) has funded exhibits, plant and animal species conservation, capital projects, and education and community outreach programs at the Los Angeles Zoo, an international leader in the preservation of endangered species and a conservation center for the care and study of wildlife. During its involvement with the Zoo, the Foundation provided funding and leadership for a unique initiative: A “Weird and Wonderful” educational audio tour program that previously was not available to patrons of the Zoo. Additionally, the Foundation was a major contributor to the “Conservation Carousel” and was honored with the “Brown Bear” seat on the hugely popular attraction.
